The Social Poets: Funny Daily Show Comics Explain The Big Banks of F. U.: From Denny:  These days comedians can just open the newspaper online and start mocking wildly.  It is so easy because Big Business and Big Banks hand it to them on a silver platter.  Everyone has an opinion about how banks do business.  Read that as how they screw you over in plain language.  This clip is hilarious so take a look and enjoy the truth told from a fresh perspective.

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Mocks Outrageous Arizona School Board Fearing Mexican-American Studies

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Mocks Outrageous Arizona School Board Fearing Mexican-American Studies: From Denny:  The Daily Show may be a comedy show but Jon Stewart utilizes what is happening right here in America as material.  You can't make up this stuff.  It's unbelievable.  How do these incredibly insensitive - and more importantly, really stupid - people rise to such high positions of authority where they affect the lives of millions of people?  It's scary in its implications.

It's difficult to believe this superintendent actually has a doctorate in education.  Are you sure this guy didn't lie on his resume or buy his degree from some online scam site?  It's like listening to my Republican Louisiana Senator David Vitter who claims to be a Rhodes scholar and a lawyer who graduated Ivy League schools.  He can barely put a sentence together and lacks rational thinking just like this fool.

Watch as comic Al Madrigal baits this guy about Mexican-American studies now banned in Arizona's Tucson school district.  The reasons this superintendent gives are incredible, all based only upon hearsay. Hearsay - can you believe it? This guy who heads their school board never even bothered to talk to the teachers of the program or read any of the textbooks.  And he calls himself an educator?  Unbelievable.

The Social Poets: Funny Friday: Jon Stewart Mocks GOP Fear of 2nd Obama Term

The Social Poets: Funny Friday: Jon Stewart Mocks GOP Fear of 2nd Obama Term: From Denny: Leave it to the comics to ferret out the twisted thinking of the Republican political strategists. It's clear they are desperately reaching for just about anything to make their voters so terrified they will vote for any candidate they place in front of them. Yeah, their 2012 field is really that awful.

Of course, the Democrats have been running the same game to scare their voters into staying with Obama no matter how little he has done for them. The only difference is that they Democrats are correct about the Republicans' complete lack of leadership or interest in governing.

The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks 2012 State of the Union Address

The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks 2012 State of the Union Address: From Denny: Bored from watching the State of the Union Address? Jon Stewart pokes fun at both the address and the Round Table of Idiots to analyze said speech. It's as if it's what you really want all those reporters to say, you know, like brain diarrhea and totally "socially inappropriate" - totally.

Like most comedians, Stewart feels it's his American duty to pummel this political joke fest into submission. Jon especially enjoys watching the cut away photos of audience reactions - like that of the First Lady's to Obama's really bad joke. "Honey, I told you that was so not funny and not to use it in the speech tonight."

The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Perry Romney 10K Bet

The Social Poets: Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Perry Romney 10K Bet: From Denny:  This is too funny.  Jon points out that on the GOP national debate stage a Mormon is gambling with an evangelical about who is the biggest liar of the two, to the tune of 10,000 large.  According to comic John Oliver, this feeds into the narrative of Romney being an out of touch rich guy millionaire.

After all, the average person in Iowa makes a $10 bet not a $10, 000 one.  Only rich guys throw money around like that demonstration.

How dumb can you get?  In the worst economic depression in 70 years you have a millionaire making expensive bets in front of an audience trying to figure out how to keep their kids in college and pay their mortgage.

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Interview: How Your Employer Is Screwing Your Pension Fund: From Denny: Ellen Schultz, an investigative reporter, discovered that Big Business has taken the private pension plans for millions of workers - to the tune of 44 million people - and, instead, "turned them into profit centers for their companies." As a result, the plans are severely underfunded.

Did you know that as recently as 10 years ago, these same retirement plans were so flush with cash that they experienced a quarter of a trillion dollar surplus?

How did they drain that surplus? Big Business did the following:

The Soul Calendar: Jon Stewart Interview: Why Fear Mongers Will Not Accept Science

Host Jon Stewart in the studio of The Daily Sh...Image via WikipediaThe Soul Calendar: Jon Stewart Interview: Why Fear Mongers Will Not Accept Science: From Denny: Stewart interviews author and physicist Lisa Randall, of the new book "Knocking On Heaven's Door: How Physics and Scientific Thinking Illuminate the Universe and the Modern World."

Stewart asks, "Why do we fight so hard to be illuminated by it?" He is referencing the conservative political atmosphere that fears science unreasonably.

Randall offers up that perhaps the reason science is not so easily accepted is because "so many of the theories are far removed from what we see in our daily lives - and not necessarily the most intuitive."

She believes that if people would go beyond just human scale - where only technology can measure - that perhaps they will not be so afraid if they learn more about it and be more interested.

Stewart poses the question as to why are God and science incompatible? Clearly, that is what so many people fear - like science will be 100 percent provable and certain, eliminating room for God.

Dennys Global Politics: Libya: Jon Stewart Comments on Celebrating Gaddafi Death

Jon StewartImage via WikipediaDennys Global Politics: Libya: Jon Stewart Comments on Celebrating Gaddafi Death: From Denny: Only Jon Stewart could send off Gaddafi with a Big Bang out of this world. He likens Gaddafi to the death of the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz.

You watch the striped legs with fire engine red shoes suddenly withdraw and disappear under the house - that was dropped onto said naughty witch - and then the witch vanishes in the famous Hollywood magic.

So it is with Gaddafi vanishing off the world stage. Actually, he was also mocking the media for telling viewers about how graphic were the death photos of Gaddafi so Stewart had a little fun with this idea.

Moving right along, Stewart changes over to giving advice to dictators in his segment: Offers Strongmen His Dic-Tip. Come on; all American male comics love penis jokes and never fail to include them in every show. Of course, nothing like rightfully comparing dictators to Dick Heads - or Richard Craniums for the sensitive crowd.

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Ridicules GOP Mocking Most Of America

The Social Poets: Jon Stewart Ridicules GOP Mocking Most Of America: From Denny: Jon Stewart hits it out of the ball park yet again. Here he pulls together copious news clips of the GOP's rallying cry to the American public to "go out into the streets and take back America." Much to their chagrin Americans are doing just that. It's called Occupy Wall Street protests.

Only problem is that they are the 80 percent of the country the Republicans love to hate: the middle class, liberals, progressives, labor unions, gays, the unemployed, students who graduated and can't find jobs... you know, most of the country.

One of the clips is especially funny where the GOP tries to sell their tired "class warfare" whine: "It's not nice to pit millionaires against billionaires." That's as crazy as Mitt Romney's recent, "Corporations are people too."

Who ARE these people voted into Congress anyway? We should relabel them from politicians to The Outrageous Who Suck Wall Street Assets.
